Apple may be building its own search engine, Microsoft is living its best life and T-Mobile is trying new things.
The rumour around silicon valley is that Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) has decided to build its own search engine as the U.S. government comes after its lucrative deal with Google. Apple receives around $8bn to $12bn a year from Google to make Google Search the default search engine across its 1.4 billion devices. Yesterday, Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) killed it. The company’s earnings for the third quarter beat analysts’ expectation thanks to its cloud business. Revenue reached $37.2 billion, up from $33.06 billion a year ago while analysts expected earnings of $1.54 a share on sales of $35.76 billion. Microsoft’s cloud business is expected to continue growing with people reverting to work from home because of the second wave of coronavirus. Click here to read more.
