Workhorse Group Inc (NASDAQ: WKHS), Stock Price: $19.71

Workhorse Group Inc benefited from investors’ enthusiasm about electric vehicles all summer long. Its shares gained 16.7% in the month of August.  In addition, the company is also one of three finalists for a more than $6 billion contract to supply delivery vehicles to the U.S. Postal Service. Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (NASDAQ: VRTX), Stock Price: $266.50

Vertex Pharmaceuticals is one of the highest-performing healthcare stocks of the S&P 500 since the beginning of 2020. The company’s cystic fibrosis treatment, Trikafta, which was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 2019, has been a significant catalyst of growth. The stock has grown by more than 22% this year and analysts expect the company to grow its earnings by nearly 25% each year in the next five years. Click here to read more.

The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS), Stock Price: $131.99

With the debut of its live-action blockbuster Mulan on its Disney+ streaming platform, investors are hopeful for another streaming smash hit similar to its Hamilton release earlier in the summer. AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc (NYSE: AMC), Stock Price: $7.02

In its first two weeks of operations since the Covid-19 lockdowns, AMC entertained more guests than initially anticipated in its re-opened cinemas due to the release of highly anticipated film, “Tenet”. The company is now moving to re-open more cinemas in response to rising demand. We are watching to see if these developments will restore investors’ confidence in this industry.
