These stocks just keep climbing.
On Monday, after both Tesla and Apple split their stocks on a 5-for-1 and 4-for-1 basis respectively, the companies saw their stocks soar to record highs. Tesla shares rose 12% after the split while Apple shares rose 3.4. So far in 2020, Tesla stock has soared about 496% and Apple has climbed 76%. Zoom Inc (NASDAQ: ZM) reported massive Q2 earnings on Monday which drove its stock up 25% in extended trading. Its revenue grew 355% from 169% in the last quarter to $663.5 million vs $500.5 million expected. Zoom recorded an average of 148.4 million monthly active users in Q2, up 4,700% year over year. Walmart Inc will launch its membership program, Walmart+, on September 15. Walmart+ will capitalize on Walmart’s strong grocery business and customers’ desire for more convenient ways to shop. Members must, however, spend a minimum of $35 to be entitled to free delivery, unlike Amazon Prime that offers free shipping for every item, without a minimum fee. Walmart+ will cost members $98 a year. The retailer did also say that it did not launch Walmart+ to compete with Amazon Prime or anything else. Click here to read more.
